  • a DO zone in the northeast of Spain in the Catalonia region near Barcelona that grows mainly the Xarel-lo (called Pansá Blanca locally) and Grenache Blanc (Garnacha Blanca) grape varieties to produce dry and medium sweet white wines. A little red and rosé wine is produced from the Tempranillo and Grenache (Garnacha) grape varieties.
