• In radars, an

  oscilloscopic

  display which plots

  azimuth

  of the

  scanned object

  in the

  horizontal

  coordinate, versus its range, which appears in the

  vertical

  coordinate. The scanned object appears as a bright spot on the display. Also called B scan, B scanner, B scope, B indicator, or range-bearing display.
