Barbaresco DOCG

  • a small DOCG zone in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. It grows Nebbiolo grapes and the wine is aged for at least two years, one of which must be in wooden barrels (three years for the riserva variety). Barbaresco shares its elegant, spicy but dry style with Barolo, though the wines do not usually have the body and intensity of flavour of the best Barolos.
