    Abbreviation of compact disc video. A compact disc format which incorporates video, along with the audio. These may only be read by specific devices, such as a CD video player. Neither an audio CD player, nor a computer CD-ROM drive can access the information on discs in this format. Also called video CD. Its abbreviation is CDV.
