Celsius temperature scale



  • A temperature scale which is based on the freezing and boiling points of water, under stated conditions, assigning values of 0 and 100 degrees Celsius respectively. Its unit of temperature increment is the degree Celsius, or °C. An increment of one degree Celsius equals an increment of one degree Kelvin. absolute zero is approximately -273.15 °C. Also called Celsius scale. Formerly called centigrade temperature scale.
