Censored Data

Definition

Health Economics

  • Runs of data, for example, in a trial, can be cut off at various points for various reasons. This is called 'censoring'. In some cases, the data become censored because the trial observation period was shorter than time to event. Other reasons include loss to follow-up and death from some unrelated cause.
