  • Loose tolerance threads are Class 1. Threads with Class 2 listing are usually stainless steel with normal commercial tolerances. Class 3 are made to stricter tolerances and fit much more tightly. When letter "A" is added to a class, it indicates external threads, or screws. Letter "B" means internal threads or nuts.
