  • A type of sweet orange which comprises a large and diverse group with a wide range of qualities but generally paler than navels and with many seeds. Usually suitable for processing into juice. The best known of this group is the Valencia although the shamouti (Jaffa or Cyprus) is quite common and there are at least 20 varieties traded widely.
