Definition

Electronics

  • The use of computers to help prepare prototypes of products. A computer may be used, for instance, to scan a three-dimensional drawing, process this information, and then send the control signals which form the prototype. An example of computer-aided prototyping is to provide an efficient means of determining and evaluating production requirements before entering the manufacturing phase of a product.
