- noun a word which connects different sections of a sentence. ‘and’ and ‘but’ are conjunctions.
- Close apparent approach of two objects in the sky as seen from the Earth, usually the Sun and a planet. With Venus and Mercury the convention is that inferior conjunction has the inner planet between Earth and Sun and superior conjunction has it on the far side of the Sun.
- noun a logical function whose output is true if all inputs are true
- A logical operation which is true only if all of its elements are true. For example, if three out of three input bits have a value of 1, then the output is 1. Any other combination yields an output of 0. For such functions, a 1 is considered as a true, or high, value, and 0 is a false, or low, value. Also called AND, or intersection (2).
