differentiating circuit

Definitions

Electronics

  • A circuit or electric network whose output is proportional to the differential, with respect to time, of the input signal. For example, a circuit whose output voltage is proportional to the differential of the input voltage with respect to time. The output waveform of such a circuit is the time derivative of the input waveform. Also called differentiating network, differentiator (1), or differentiator circuit.
