Electronics

  • A circuit which may assume one of two stables states. For instance, on or off, high voltage or low voltage, and so on. It operates like a switch, and can perform logic functions. Used extensively in computers and other logic-based devices and equipment. Also called binary circuit.
  • A communications channel through which digital information is transmitted bi-directionally. Also called digital line, or digital channel.
