double suction riser method

Definition

Construction

  • The use of two pipes for the upward flow of refrigerant suction gas. During periods of low refrigeration load, the refrigerant flow of one of the risers is blocked by the accumulation of oil in the base of the riser, diverting refrigerant flow at a higher velocity to transport oil up the other riser.
