  • A term, in trade negotiations, for agreeing to accept the results of a portion of the negotiations before the rest of the negotiations are completed.

Wine

  • wine produced in a cooler-than-usual year when the grapes have not reached their expected ripeness. The wines produced are light and have high levels of acidity but do not age well. In Germany, these wines are labelled trocken or halbtrocken.
