  • A law which states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed in an isolated system, but that it can be changed from one form to another. For instance, kinetic energy being transformed into potential energy, while the total energy in the system remains constant. Also called energy conservation law, or law of energy conservation.
  • The judicious use of available energy resources.
