Construction

  • A volunteer rating and labeling program sponsored by the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to encourage the use of energy-efficient products.

Electronics

  • In computers, a designation indicating that components, such as monitors, use less than a given maximum of power when inactive. Currently, such a maximum is 30 watts for a monitor, and 60 watts for the complete system including the monitor.
