Exchangeability

Definition

Health Economics

  • Sometimes used in a similar way to generalizability. In statistics it has a technical meaning: the random vectors {x1,. . ... . xn} are exchangeable if their joint distribution is invariant under permutations. In economics it would be understood as implying that the goods in question (or property rights defining how the said goods may be used) were tradable.
