  • One of the later commedia dell'arte companies, formedat the beginning of the 17th century by a group that included thefamous Giovann Andreini (1579 - 1654), known as Lelio, and TristanoMartinelli (1557 - 1603) who played the character of Arlecchino.It soon became a significant force, tempting players away from theGelosi and Accesi companies. The Fedeli, whose patronwas the Duke of Mantua, continued to tour Italy until about 1650,when they disbanded.
