  • Filaments of glass formed by pulling molten glass into random lengths that are either gathered in a wool-like mass or formed as continuous threads. The wool-like form is used as thermal and acoustical insulation. The thread-like form is used as reinforcing material and in textiles, glass fabrics, and electrical insulation.
