Financial Times Index
- noun an index based on the market prices of thirty blue-chip companies (this index is the oldest of the FT indices, and is now considered too narrow to have much relevance)
- noun an index of 30 major industrial and commercial companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. It does not include banks, insurance companies or other financial institutions.
