fixed-frequency monitor

  • A monitor which can only accept a video signal within a single frequency range. For example, one that accepts VGA signals, but none other. This contrasts with a multi-frequency monitor, which supports a fixed number of frequency ranges, and with a multiscan monitor, which responds to signals at any frequency within a wide interval.
