  • A circuit consisting of two pairs of conductors arranged so that there is simultaneous two-way communication between two points. Each pair of wires, or conductors, forms a single path.
  • A two-way communications circuit utilizing two paths, each carrying a signal in one direction. It does not necessarily have to have four wires, as is the case with an optical fiber link.
