  • An alloy, such as brass, or one formed by copper and nickel, used for hard-solder. Also called brazing alloy.
  • A solder that melts at a comparatively high temperature. For example, an alloy of silver, copper, and zinc. This contrasts with a soft solder, which melts at a comparatively low temperature.
