  • The amount of heat required to increase the temperature of a given mass by one degree. The capacity is arrived at numerically by multiplying the mass by the specific heat.

Electronics

  • The amount of heat necessary, under specified conditions, to raise the temperature of a body or system one degree Celsius. Also called thermal capacity.
