Health Economics

  • An interval index of capability for older people that focuses on quality of life rather than health alone for use in decision-making across health and social care. It has five attributes of attachment (able to have love and friendship), security (able to think about the future without concern), role (able to do things that make one feel valued), enjoyment (able to have enjoyment and pleasure), control (able to be independent), and with values ranging from 1 (full capability) to 0 (no capability).
