  • to smoke crack by sucking the smoke from a burning pellet of the drug through a glass pipe or tube. The term is from the users’ own jargon.
  • to beat up. Probably a back-formation from the earlier colloquial noun form ‘(to give someone) a licking’.
  • a superlative person, thing or situation. This term, meaning ‘the (very) best’, probably originated in black American speech but by the mid-1990s was in use among adolescents in Britain, too. It may be related to lickin’ stick.
