  • In a CRT, the number of horizontal sweeps or traces per second. Also called horizontal frequency (1).
  • The number of horizontal sweeps per second in a given TV system such as NTSC or PAL. Also called horizontal frequency (2).
  • The AC frequency, such as 50 or 60 Hz, of a power line. Also called power-line frequency.
