  • Abbreviation of Litzendraht wire. A conductor made from many separately-insulated wire strands which are woven together or braided in a manner that each strand regularly assumes each of the possible positions within the overall cross section of the conductor. This arrangement minimizes skin effect, and provides for low losses at radio frequencies.
