  • (written as Logical Link Control)
    One of the two sublayers of the data-link layer, as defined by IEEE 802. It is the closer of the two to the network layer, and handles tasks such as flow control and framing. The other sublayer is the Media Access Control Sublayer. Its abbreviation is LLC. Also called logical Link control Sublayer, or Logical Link Control Layer.
