  • A device which measures the pressure of a gas by measuring its volume at an unknown pressure, compressing it, and then measuring its volume at this higher reference pressure. The original pressure can then be calculated. Useful for measuring pressures down to about 10-6 torr. Also spelled McLeod Gage.
