  • A radar technique in which a single pulse is utilized to obtain directional information concerning the location of a scanned object. Such a radar has a receiving antenna system with two or more partially overlapping lobes. Multiple pulses may be employed when greater accuracy is needed, or for calculating the velocity of a scanned object. Also called monopulse (1).
