  • A perch-like fish, Nemadactylus family, sometimes called and sold as sea bream because of a superficial resemblance. It is found from New South Wales along the south coast to western Australia and Tasmania. It has a grey back and a silver underside and grows to 4 kg. They are reasonably cheap, have a moist flesh with medium-sized flakes and can be cooked in any fashion.
