  • These are amongst the most frequent causes of occupational ill-health and absence from work. They include lower back injuries and low back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, joint strain and repetitive strain injuries. They also cause major expense to insurers and employers in workers' compensation schemes or social security systems.
