  • A term employed by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP to refer to printed money that is sufficiently badly damaged that determining its value is challenging or it is unclear if half of the note or more is present. Forex traders and currency dealers can present mutilated currency to the BEP for evaluation and a possible refund of its value.
