  • A common ornamental garden bush in the southeastern states with edible flowers and strong mint flavoured leaves which are used fresh or dried and ground. The flavour intensifies over time and it should be used sparingly. There are a number of indigenous plants which are called native mints. Used in dressings, sauces, curries and in baking and desserts.
