- A type of sweet orange which has a small secondary fruit embedded in the apex of the primary fruit. They are seedless, with deep orange, easily peeled rinds and with a rich sweet flavour. One of the best dessert fruits. They are unsuitable for processing as the juice develops bitterness on standing. The two common varieties are the Washington and the Bahia.
