nonlinear distortion

Definitions

Electronics

  • distortion in which the waveform of the input signal is altered, due to a nonlinear response.
  • Distortion in which the waveform of the input signal is altered, and in which there are harmonics introduced. linear distortion does not introduce harmonics.
