  • A play in the Quechuan language, performed near Cuzco, Peru,in around 1780 under the direction of Padre Antonio Valdés.Whether Valdés created the work himself or transcribed it fromoral tradition is somewhat contentious, though scrutiny of the play'sstructure suggests the former. The work has been variously adaptedand translated by late 20th-century writers.
