(written as open-loop)without feedback from e.g. oxygen sensor control systems
- In computer programming, a loop which repeats itself a specified number of times. A closed loop (1) repeats itself indefinitely, unless interrupted or stopped by external intervention.
- In a control system, a circuit in which no feedback signal is utilized as a basis for comparison to a reference input. Thus, the output does not have an effect on the input. A closed loop (1) does incorporate such feedback.
