physical network

Definition

Electronics

  • The true physical topology of a network, as opposed to the manner in which a network is organized from the user's perspective, which is known as logical network. For example, a user may visualize a bus network as a series of computers arranged along a straight line, while it may truly be a common cable with many twists, turns, and loops.
