PN sequence

Definitions

Electronics

  • Abbreviation of pseudonoise sequence. A spread spectrum digital code technique in which a pseudorandom sequence of noise signals spreads multiple information signals along a wideband path. The receiver uses the same sequence to decode the signals, providing for increased signal density for a given bandwidth, plus greater security. Used, for instance, in CDMA.
