  • A radioactive chemical element whose atomic number is 84. It has over 40 identified isotopes, more than any other known element, yet very rarely occurs naturally. It is used as a nuclear power source, and for compact thermoelectric power generation ideally suited for use in remote areas such as outer space. Its chemical symbol is Po.
