  • A principle pertaining to the dual or analogous nature of certain entities or properties. For instance, the wave-particle duality of light, in which it has both wave-like properties and particle-like properties. Another example is the analogous nature of certain electric circuits, such as a transistor circuit and an electron tube circuit. Also called duality (2), or duality principle.
