  • Pertaining to programs in which users must follow a given sequence of steps, each of which is dictated by said program. This contrasts with event-driven, in which programs wait for user actions, such as mouse clicks and key pressings, responds to them, and then returns to waiting for further events. Also called procedure-oriented. #A specific program which is procedure-driven (1). Also called procedure-driven program.
