Production Possibilities Curve

Health Economics

  • A locus indicating the boundary between all the combinations of goods and services that an economy can produce with given resources and technologies, and those it cannot. Its slope is the marginal rate of transformation, showing in two dimensions the minimum amount of one good or service that must be sacrificed in order to produce an additional unit of the other (or the maximum that can be produced of one for a given sacrifice of the other).
