  • Land and anything growing on the land, or constructed on it, such as buildings, stone walls, fences, driveways, garages, underground swimming pools, trees, shrubs, and gardens. Real property also includes fixtures, or items that are permanently affixed to real property, such as light fixtures, oil burners, fuse boxes, and plumbing. See also real estate.
