- The opposition a material offers to magnetic force.
Electronics
- The opposition a material or magnetic circuit presents to the passage of magnetic flux. It is expressed as the ratio of the magnetomotive force to the magnetic flux, and is analogous to electrical resistance. Its symbol is R, and it is the reciprocal of permeance. Also called magnetic reluctance, or magnetic resistance.
