  • A box or other enclosure which houses multiple sections of precision resistors, whose values vary in given multiples from section to section. A user employs selector switches, or other mechanisms, to choose the appropriate value from each section to obtain the desired final resistance value. An example is a resistance decade box. Also called resistor box.
