  • On a computer screen, a button that changes in appearance and/or generates a sound when the pointer is moved over it. For example, an application may highlight an icon accessing a given feature when the mouse pointer is moved over it. In addition, the feature name and/or a brief description may be shown, a tone may be produced, and so on.
