Schwarzschild Black Hole

Definition

Astronomy

  • Black hole with mass but no rotation or electric charge. This makes the Schwarzschild black hole the simplest type to analyse mathematically. A Schwarzschild black hole formed from a star of four solar masses would have an event horizon some 20km in diameter and a photon sphere surrounding it of about 25km diameter.
